Great Weekend!!!

It has been too long since I have posted anything (even though I know no one reads them, haha). But, I just had to post about this past weekend.

Friday Night - Might be one of the best night I have had in a while. I got home from work around 6:30 or so. Had a couple slices of pizza (it is always "Pizza Night" at the Byrnes residence on Friday nights). I then relax with the rents for a bit, watching TV. I then proceed to my bed (7:30) and continue to sleep for the next 13 hrs!!! Ah, relaxing! I really needed it, after the craziness that has been going on with work (will explain later).

Saturday - I wake up "bright eyed and bushy tailed" after a nice looooong night of sleeping. I make myself some nice bfast (a bit of eggs, bacon and fruit), and head out to do some chores around the house. I finish replacing the liner in my pool just in time to get a call from my (self proclaimed) "Rock Star" great friend, Mira. She is coming up to visit, from D.C., for the weekend. I then head down to pick up Nessa, and then Mira, at the mall. It is definitely great to see Mira, since it only happens every couple months.

We then go and hit up the Japanese Buffet, where we shovel plates of sushi and other misc. pieces of food into our mouths...making for some significant "Food Babies"!!!

Next are several stops in order to find the right materials to make shirts for an upcoming event in our lives (will explain after it occurs).

We chill for a bit at Mira's house. Catch up with her rents, drink some coffee and beer, and snack on some brownies that Mama Oczkowski is so nice to offer us. (She really is the best!!!) After a couple good-bye's, cause Mira has to head to a concert with her pops, I hang out with Nessa the rest of the day and drink a couple beers and just chill.

Sunday - After a morning of more chores and getting sun burnt, I head up to my sisters and relax for most of the day, playing with my Goddaughter, Emily. SO CUTE!!!

I then meet up with Mira, again. We head out to Thatcher's to catch a drink. In the middle of our 2nd beer Nessa calls and asks to be picked up (she is drunky). I turn to Mira and say "I feel like her parents" haha. We pick her drunk ass up and head back to her place. We chill for a bit, take some goofy ass pics and head back home. Gotta love those girls!

Monday (I love 3 day weekends) - The fam comes over for a BBQ, which means I get to play with Emily some more. It is nice to have someone at my intellectual level to play with, haha. After playing some COD4 with Dave I basically chilled with the family and enjoyed the family time immensely.

Well, that was my weekend. May not sound like much, but I enjoyed every moment of it. It is not every weekend that I can say it was great all around.

Happy Memorial Day!

I AM IRONMAN!!!

What might be one of the best movies I have seen in a long time, and what I am considering my 2nd favorite comic book movie, only falling behind the ever spectacular Batman Begins, is Ironman.
With all the hype that has been surrounding the release of this blockbuster hit I have been keeping my fingers crossed in hopes that it would not disappoint. Let me down like movies such as The Incredible Hulk (feat Eric Banna and Jennifer Connelly, who I can never look at the same after seeing Requiem for a Dream) and the many Batman movies that were completely ridiculous!!!
My brother and I decide to go check it out. The opening trailers got me so excited for the movie. They started out with Indiana Jones (which I am psyched for!) and the new trailer for The Dark Night (don't get me started, because I will sit here all day and give praise to Christopher Nolan and Christian Bale for what they have done to revive the Batman legacy).
When the movie started you get thrown right into the eye catching action, the comedy and the overall fantastic story. I was a little skeptical at first of Robert Downey Jr being casted as Tony Stark, but he quickly abolished all doubts. He fit the roll "to a t". The CG was remarkable and the movie really makes you feel that anyone can become a super hero in a real world (as long as they have the money and the smarts to build a state of the art suit!)
The movie was constantly flowing and did not drag on at all. I definitely recommend checking it out. When you do go, do yourself a favor, stay and watch the entire credits. There is a 40 second clip to set up the sequel (which is scheduled to release in 2010). I will not spoil anything, but the next movie is going to be BAD ASS!!!

CHECK IT OUT!!!!

Music From Across The Pond

Ever since I got turned onto Nizlopi (i know, catchy name) I have been constantly listening to them and enjoying every second of it. There is a lot of music that I can get sick of very quickly, but not them.

They are two good friends from the United Kingdom, by the name of Luke and John. Their sound is influenced by jazz, hip hop and Celtic folk music, while only playing the guitar and bass. It may sound a little lame, but they really bring their music to life.

If you are a fan of Jack Johnson, O.A.R., or Dispatch then I strongly recommend Nizlopi to you!

Enjoy!

Birthday Festivities!

With my birthday quickly sneaking up on me from around the corner I have been doing almost anything I can to forget about it! 25th Birthday's are a complete waste of celebration because there is really no reason to be happy about the fact that you are 1/4 Century old.

In my decision to boycott my birthday I have been trying to weasel my way past it without anyone wishing me a "Happy Birthday". I know that my family will wish me one, but that is not really preventative. They remember everything, and even if I didn't want to celebrate it they would make it a point to celebrate it more. I love my family, haha.

But, I can't lie. I am actually ECSTATIC about my birthday now! One of my closest friends, Rockstar, and I have decided to make this a birthday to remember for a long long time. Since her birthday is right around my own we are doing a joint event that only we are crazy enough to do. We have decided to make this a celebration that only the God's can compete with. We are going all out, and with good reason.....we are getting older!

I know you keep asking yourself what it is.... The thing that sucks is.... I am not going to tell. Once the deed is done and behind us I will fill each and everyone of my friends in. But, until then......not another word.
