Just got back from watching the second great comic book movie to come out in the past couple months, The Incredible Hulk! The first, of course, being Iron Man.
The movie started out with a recap of what has happened, but quickly turns it into a lot of action and amazing CGI. There are several inside jokes, for those who know the comic book. Of course there is a cameo by Stan Lee, there is Stanly's Pizza Place and of course the infamous purple pants that get thrown into a scene.
Edward Norton was definitely the perfect actor for this role. Having been very psychologically distraught in the past in movies such as American History X and Fight Club, he seemed to fit comfortably into the Bruce Banner persona of the constant battle against himself.
Although they could have found a better actress, then Liv Tyler, to play Betty Ross, she was still decent and did not hurt the movie too much.
The ending is definitely another perfect set up for The Avengers movie that will be coming out for sure. So far Iron Man and The Hulk are lined up. The Thor movie is in process, along with Captain America! Rumor is that The Avengers will be forming on the big screen in July of 2011!!! But, until then, check out The Incredible Hulk and Iron Man if you haven't done so already.
