I have recently been turned onto this band by my cousin, Tim. Rodrigo y Gabriela are one of those sounds that cannot really be defined. They are originally from Mexico, but have much influence from metal bands such as Metallica and Led Zeppelin. But, it doesn't stop there. In 1999 they moved to Dublin, Ireland with $1,000 in their pockets and survived by doing what they love, playing acoustic guitar.
